If you use bi- amping with 8 or 6 ohm speakers , you don't have to change the impedance mode.
If  using 4 ohm loudspeakers , you must switch the Receiver to 4 ohm impedance.
"Bi-amping or Bi-wiring" is possible with 4 ohm speakers , unfortunately the instruction manual is not quite clear at this point.
Please set the same impedance at the receiver like the speaker impedance is.
