Seems like quite a few people have problems getting things right with Loewe and WMCE/PC. After days of desperate trying I finaly got it right thanx to fantastic help from a guy at the Norwegian Loewe technical support.
With Loewe Xelos A37, WMCE05, GeForce 7600 DVI-> hdmi the following gives you perfect resolution and bit-to-bit picture at 1360x768. I also know it works on several other nVidia chipsets.
1) In the screen properties: Add the custom resolution 1360x768 at 61 Hertz. NOTE 61 Hertz, not 60.
2) In the Advanced timings: Mode&timing: Custom values Timing standard: Custom values Flat panel scaling: Monitor scaling Horisontal: Front p: 48, back p: 80, sync +, Fe-active: 1360, Sync with: 32, Be-active: 1360 Vertical: Front p: 3, back p: 15, Sync -, Fe-active: 768, Sync width: 5, refresh 60.923, Be-active: 768.
Works perfect, but I still have a huge problem, though. The settings wont save in Windows causing me to type in the same sh*t again after every reboot. Suggestions are very much appreciated!
I have also tried to make this work with PowerStrip, thinking the saving-problem would be "taken care of", but I cant seem to make it work at all. I actualle had to shut PS down to make it work. Maybe Im doing something wrong in PowerStrip, the same values should work, as far as I understand this. Any tip?
I recommend (by the way) the story and the bitmap at: http://www.eirikso.com/2006/04/06/perfect-adjustment-of-your -lcd/ (right click -> download -> set as desktopBG NOT streched but centered) to see clearly that every bit/pixel meet the panel perfectly! Thanx Eirikso!
