Fandt lige en side med lidt information omkring det at være HDTV klar :-)
Is your TV HD-ready? In January this year the European ICT Association announced an HD ready logo to be featured on all TVs and, potentially, other HD compatible devices in the future. An HD-ready device must meet a number of criteria based on the European Broadcasting Union’s decision to opt for 720p as the European Standard. But anyone wanting to explore the higher-spec HD video formats will need to look beyond the logo on point-of-sale displays. Instead, you’ll need to delve into the model specifications in some depth. For example:
Basic HD TV (minimum for an HD-ready logo) (1) Widescreen format with a screen ratio of 16:9 (2) Capable of displaying 720 lines (1280x720) progressively scanned (3) Have a single DVI or HDMI input with HDCP copy protection
Medium HD TV (minimum for 1080i HD) (1) Widescreen format with a screen ratio of 16:9 (2) Capable of displaying 1080 lines (1920x1080) from an interlaced video signal (3) Have multiple DVI/HDMI inputs with HDCP copy protection
Ideal HD TV (Digital Home dream TV) (1) Widescreen format with a screen ratio of 16:9 (2) Capable of displaying 1080 lines progressively scanned (3) A built-in 1080-line scalar to enhance 720p and SD TV (4) Multiple DVI/HDMI inputs with HDCP (5) An on-board PVR for recording HD content
