Universal is going ALL the way down to SACD-No more DVD-A ! They are planning to bring all new titles in SACD! Now they will have an output of 50% an wanted in the next stage an 100%.
I remember that in Germany in the half year of 2003, 0,2 million of Dvd-A and SACD have been sold BUT ten time more of the later!
Universal Europe will have 60 new titles on the market this Autumn.
So, DVD-A is the loser in Europe and SACD ...well SACD..could win.
The best Universal sold title is" The Mass " ( Era) before the Stones " Let it Bleed "
Universal is having a big promotion with Sony and Philips this fall.
it seems that there is some dissent between Universal USA and Universal Europe on what is the format of choice.
Europe has choosen.
